Problem Statement:
As a graphic designer, I was tasked with creating a logo and branding materials for Mindskipper, an organization dedicated to providing mental health support. The challenge was to encapsulate the essence of mental well-being and accessibility in a visually appealing and professional manner.
Requirements:
Symbolism: The logo needed to reflect mental health and growth.
Colour Scheme: Use colours associated with healthcare that are both soothing and lively.
Typography: Select a professional and easy-to-read font.
Thought Process:
I envisioned a logo that combines the imagery of a brain and a tree. The brain represents the complexity of mental health, while the tree symbolizes growth and life. The red dot in the centre signifies the pituitary gland, a crucial part of our hormonal balance, and the greenish/teal dots represent thoughts or fruits, symbolizing the positive outcomes of mental health support.
For the colour scheme, I chose shades of blue and teal to evoke trust and calmness, with a touch of red to highlight the central element. The font ‘Sen’ was selected for its clarity and modernity, ensuring the text is both professional and approachable.
Final Output: The final logo for Mindskipper is a harmonious blend of a brain and tree, with thoughtful colour choices that convey a sense of trust and vitality. The professional font ties the design together, making it easy to read and memorable. This branding effectively communicates Mindskipper’s mission of providing accessible mental health support, promising hope and growth for all who seek their services.
